Walk Two moons
Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech is a touching and emotional story about a 13-year-old girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle. After her mom leaves and doesn’t come back, Sal goes on a road trip with her grandparents to find her. Along the way, Sal tells them the story of her friend Phoebe, who is also dealing with some family drama. As she tells Phoebe’s story, we learn more about Sal’s own life and what really happened to her mom.
I liked how the book was funny and serious at the same time. Sal is a really interesting character because she’s brave, curious, and honest about her feelings. The way the author connects the two stories—Sal’s and Phoebe’s—is super cool. It made me want to keep reading to see how it all came together in the end.
One thing I really liked was how the book talks about family, friendship, and dealing with hard things in life. It made me think a lot about how people handle loss and how important it is to try to understand others.
If you like stories with mystery, strong emotions, and interesting characters, I definitely recommend reading Walk Two Moons. Just make sure to have some tissues nearby—you might cry a little!
